With a base in Columbus, a new album on the way and a busy touring schedule that has taken the band from coast to coast, The End Of The Ocean is making waves.

Except perhaps with the name itself.

“Google always asks if we mean The Deep End of the Ocean — you know, the Michelle Pfeiffer movie,” said guitarist Kevin Shannon, 25, who added that the group “started out as a concept as of shipmates journeying through the ocean.

“The idea of weathering the same storms and waves of life with a close-knit crew of people seemed to capture the experiences and emotions we’ve shared in life as friends.”
